See pictures. Just little boxes????

Hi,

How come on some sites instead of seeing the picture
I just see little boxes with an x in the upper left hand corner?
i am running windows xp and it just started doing it after i got
it back from the repair shoop for a virus.

Please help.

I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
